It’s Snowing!

AT LAST… it’s been a long time coming this autumn but finally the snow has started to fall across the Alps and it’s making up for lost time in a big way. It’s absolutely dumping and more is forecast over the next few days; it’s settling on solid cold ground and promising a fabulous base for the winter.

TIGNES – Conditions up to now have been good in the high areas & glacier but with fewer slopes open than usual for this time of year. That’s all about to change, finally it’s dumping! The terrace at Chalet Hotel Les Melezes in Tignes Les Boisses at 1900m is covered this morning.

DOLOMITI SUPERSKI – Kronplatz has had several runs open since the last weekend of November & several more opened this weekend. A light snowfall last night has improved conditions & more is forecast over the next couple of days. Alta Badia has a few runs open, as does Cortina, & Val Gardena.

We still have some availability for a white Christmas in the Italian Dolomites, Tignes or Paradiski, either for a full weeks stay or for a short ski break

Snowfall in Tignes

Snow has fallen in Tignes, Espace Killy & has covered the whole area including Les Boisses (1900m).

Autumn Ski & Board Camp guests staying at Chalet Hotel Les Melezes are today enjoying superb fresh snow on the Grand Motte glacier as well as perfect blue skies.

Fresh snow in Tignes

Conditions on the Grand Motte glacier, Val Claret, remain absolutely awesome! A foot of fresh snow fell earlier in the week and the sun has been shining.
