Whilst a well-placed bin liner down your street might have provided you with some cheap thrills this January, the team at Mountainsun have far more exciting opportunities for you, whether your passion lies in skiing or snowboarding.

Both France & the Italian Dolomites have had heavy snow over the last few days & our resort staff are reporting great conditions.
Espace Killy have opened up the link between Val Claret & val d’Isere as well as parts of Tignes Le Lac. It is expected that most of the area will be open by the weekend or soon after.
AT LAST… it’s been a long time coming this autumn but finally the snow has started to fall across the Alps and it’s making up for lost time in a big way. It’s absolutely dumping and more is forecast over the next few days; it’s settling on solid cold ground and promising a fabulous base for the winter.
TIGNES – Conditions up to now have been good in the high areas & glacier but with fewer slopes open than usual for this time of year. That’s all about to change, finally it’s dumping! The terrace at Chalet Hotel Les Melezes in Tignes Les Boisses at 1900m is covered this morning.
DOLOMITI SUPERSKI – Kronplatz has had several runs open since the last weekend of November & several more opened this weekend. A light snowfall last night has improved conditions & more is forecast over the next couple of days. Alta Badia has a few runs open, as does Cortina, & Val Gardena.
We still have some availability for a white Christmas in the Italian Dolomites, Tignes or Paradiski, either for a full weeks stay or for a short ski break
Visiting Venice on your way home from Albergo Frohsinn, San Cassiano can be a superb end to your ski holiday. Following the cancellation of Easyjet’s Bristol flights on Saturdays, we decided to spend a night in Venice & fly home on Sunday. After searching the internet, we found a very reasonable hotel in Cannaregio on Venice’s main island, “Ai Due Leoni” is located in a quiet residential area just 10 mins walk from St Lucia station.
Snow started falling in Alta Badia, Dolomiti Superski, on Friday morning & snow showers continue. Pistes were already covered since the snowfall a couple of weeks ago, & there is now over 80cm at village level this morning. Reports of conditions on the pistes which opened yesterday will follow in the next couple of days, as everyone is too busy enjoying the fresh powder!
